Eric has been a mentor at the foster care nonprofit Austin Angels for 4 years. During this time, he has walked alongside the same mentee, Sam, who is now 21 years old and aged out of foster care. Eric has been a true friend, confidant, cheerleader, resource, role model, and advocate to Sam. By showing up repeatedly, he has earned Sam’s trust and become a part of Sam’s support system and close circle. Eric learned Math to help Sam when he was struggling with school. Someone like Eric is hard to find and I believe his story deserves to be shared.
