Ethics in Business & Community Awards Nominees: Businesses
The 11th annual Ethics in Business & Community awards are just around the corner. Today we’d like to highlight the community finalists, nominated for the large business and small business categories:
Small Business:
- Home Therapy Austin – Home Therapy of Austin, LLC is an in-home provider of clinical and support services for seniors with a focus on Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy integrated with skilled nursing.
- Square Cow Moovers – “Square Cow Moovers is dedicated to serving your residential, commercial, local & long distance needs by safely & efficiently moving what’s most valuable to you. Our team consists of fully trained, professionally uniformed, & courteous movers.”
- Wag-A-Bag – A convenience store chain native to Round Rock, dedicated to community support and exemplary service. They serve the communities of Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Hutto, Liberty Hill and Austin for more than 40 years.
Large Business:
- Frost Bank – Frost Bank is a Texas-chartered bank founded in 1868 and based in San Antonio, with more than 110 financial centers across the state. Frost is one of the largest banks based in Texas.
- IBM – IBM is an American multinational technology and consulting corporation, with headquarters in Armonk, New York, United States. IBM manufactures and markets computer hardware and software. They offer infrastructure, hosting and consulting services in areas ranging from mainframe computers to nanotechnology.
- Texas Disposal Systems – Texas Disposal Systems is a locally owned company offering residential, commercial and industrial trash, recycling and composting solutions across the state. Their mission is to provide the highest quality waste processing services. They also focusing on making the best interests of customers, employees and environment a priority.
Recipients will be announced at the Ethics in Business & Community awards luncheon on May 2, 2013 at the AT&T Conference Center. Attended by hundreds of Texas business leaders each year, we anticipate over 500 attendees this year. Honorary Chairs for this year are Bobby Jenkins, CEO ABC Home & Commercial Services and Earl Maxwell, CEO St. David’s Foundation. Proceeds from the Ethics in Business & Community awards luncheon benefit the Samaritan Counseling Center. The Center provides professional counseling to prevent and treat abuse, teach healthy life skills, and strengthen families. The Center serves children and adults of all ages who are struggling with a variety of problems. These include such as stress, depression, abuse and addiction. The Samaritan Center’s Hope for Heroes program has received statewide recognition.
