Ethics in Business & Community: Year Four

In continued expectancy of our upcoming annual Ethics in Business & Community awards, this week we want to share with you the inspiring recipients of our fourth year awards, which took place in 2005:

Business

The Maids Serving Austin – The Maids Serving Austin provides an extraordinary house cleaning service to the Greater Austin, Texas community (Austin, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Lakeway, Pflugerville, Kyle, Buda, Dripping Springs, San Marcos and Round Rock).

Nonprofit

People’s Community Clinic – People’s Community Clinic is Austin’s only independent clinic offering comprehensive health and wellness care to improve the health of our uninsured neighbors. The Clinic is locally-managed, nonprofit and privately-funded. The clinic offers all services to patients on a sliding scale basis.

Individual

Bill McLellan – Co-founder and vice chairman of  Treaty Oak Bank. A former staff vice president of 3M Austin, McLellan has an extensive portfolio of community involvement. After leaving 3M, he worked in leadership positions for local nonprofit organizations, including LifeWorks and the Austin Museum of Art. He is a board member with Mobile Loaves & Fishes, St. David’s Hospital, Austin Recovery Center, Envision Central Texas and the Downtown Austin Alliance.
