For over 15 Years, Cynthia Ferrell has worked, ridden, and run to help adults with special needs in the Rockdale community.

Cynthia Ferrell does a lot to help our community’s adult population with special needs. She is the co-director of MARC, the Milam Adult Resource Center, which services adults with special needs from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, where she helps organize activities such as bowling, swimming, a bingo potluck party, and even a week-long nature camp at Down Home Ranch. She’s also a member of the Bad to the Bone motorcycle group, which over the past 20 years has raised more than $400,000 to benefit adults with special needs though an annual charity auction.

Cynthia directly helps by tagging and organizing the donations for the auction the night before the event, but also is setting up shirt sales, registration of riders, and selling raffle tickets at 8am the next day. In addition to her work with MARC and Bad to the Bone, Cynthia has been a part of the Buddy Oney Toy Run since 2006, an event whose proceeds provide toys for Christmas Roundup benefitting children who are in Child Protective Services around Milam County.
