For 18 years, Aline Garcia Weinheimer has helped countless children and families in the foster system receive much-needed love and personal items during the most difficult times in their lives.

Since 2004, Aline has volunteered and supported Partnerships for Children, specifically taking on the Rainbow Room at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as her special project.  She has filled the Rainbow Room with everything from clothing to toiletries to infant formula during the recent supply chain crisis for families connected to Child Protective Services. Aline has spent over 400 hours shopping for clothing and hygiene items for those children and families in the foster system. “Aline has been such a huge support to PFC and the youth we serve,” says Resources Services director, Marcus Cantu. “Every month, I am so excited to see what she’s brought in to donate. She is an expert at finding the cutest items for the youth we serve. Over the past 18 years, she has made an impact for hundreds of youth.

With the help of volunteers like Aline, the Rainbow Room helps up to 300 caseworkers in the Central Texas area, provide things that most people take for granted – things like toothbrushes, diapers, deodorant, and pillows – to more than 650 infants, children, teens, and young adults. each month. Aline’s work with the Rainbow Room makes sure that foster children regularly receive the things they need to live normal lives.

Aline’s dedication to Partnerships for Children doesn’t stop with the Rainbow Room though – she is well-known for recruiting new supporters and inspiring her circle of friends and family to make purchases, donate prom items and be charitable in their giving, over the years she’s personally donated hundreds of toys for the agency’s holiday wishes programs.
