When it comes to serving those in need, there’s one woman who does it all.

Ebonie Trice founded Mission Accomplished seven years ago in response to the rise in homelessness in Austin and has now served thousands of neighbors in need.

Ebonie founded her nonprofit after her own struggles left her with a clear realization of the gaps not traditionally covered by existing programs assisting those affected by homelessness. The array of creative programs under the Mission Accomplished umbrella showcases her firsthand understanding.

Ebonie recently evolved her laundry washing program to empower those experiencing homelessness to take charge of their lives, and now distributes free laundry supply kits. She also recruits volunteers to write Christmas cards to those living in halfway homes, and she once put on a local talent show for underserved youth looking to get into the entertainment industry. She has even opened her own home to help women and children in need on multiple occasions!

In honor of Ebonie’s good deeds, RecognizeGood made a $1,000 donation in her name to Mission Accomplished. We presented her Legend award at the African-American Youth Harvest headquarters yesterday. Special thanks to the African-American Youth Harvest team for hosting the presentation, and most amazingly for leader Michael Lofton to MATCH our $1,000 donation to Mission Accomplished – right there on the spot! Crown Trophy donated another beautiful award from their shop to Ebonie, which was the icing on the gratitude cake.
