Lighthouse Award presented to Rotary Club of Lakeway / Lake Travis

RecognizeGood is proud to present the RecognizeGood Lighthouse Award to the Rotary Club of Lakeway / Lake Travis! The club, known as RCLT, has demonstrated incredible magnitude of service since their inception in 1998, including sponsorship of events like CASA Adoption Awareness and the Lake Travis ISD’s Special Olympics banquet, donations of over $19,000 in local area scholarships, an estimated 5,800 volunteer hours dedicated annually,  and countless other contributions to both the greater Austin community and to service projects around the world.

iRex Group, Ltd. President Matt Ache joined George Mihalcik of RecognizeGood in presenting the RCLT with the RecognizeGood Lighthouse Award during a Rotary meeting on January 21st at Fore Restaurant in Lakeway. RCLT was also able to ask questions about RecognizeGood and learn about all of the RecognizeGood programs. Programs Chair Jeff Lamb of Turnquist Partners Realtors and Past President Doug Lindgren accepted the award on behalf of the Rotary Club. iRex Group, Ltd. is the champion sponsor of this award, and proud to recognize GOOD in Austin. A big THANK YOU from RecognizeGood for all RCLT does for the greater Austin community!

The RecognizeGood Lighthouse Award was launched in 2014 as a way to recognize and show appreciation for the selfless community contributions made by service organizations like Rotary, Kiwanis, and Lions clubs. The award is meant to highlight “special” service organizations. This both rewards them for their altruism and telling their stories to inspire others. Award nominees may be sent to lighthouse@recognizegood.com, and are voted on by a selection committee according to the following criteria:

  1. Length of Service
  2. Magnitude of Service
  3. Special One-Time Event

This was the second RecognizeGood Lighthouse Award presented to an Austin-area service organization. The first was presented to Sertoma of Round Rock in 2014.
